2021 news​
Our 2021 AGM was held on Wednesday 3rd November by Zoom.
The papers are here. We were sorry to say goodbye to Bob from the committee, after so many years as Footpath Secretary. Malcolm has agreed to widen his role to include the footpath work that Bob has done so well over the years. Julie has agreed to be our link with the Friends of Wellington Station and the Friends of Bowring Park.

We have confirmed that the 2022 Wellington Walking Festival will take place from September 12th to September 18th. See the Festival page for details of our 2021 festival. We would love to incorporate new ideas for 2022, please contact us if you have a great idea,

We were fortunate to be able to hold the full programme for the 2021 Walking Festival .
This year we had a mixture of themed walks and just walks. Many were on the theme of 10. We ended with a celebration of our 10th festival.

Our 3 recent walks have enjoyed the autumn colours to the South and the North of the town. Photos of all 3 walks are on the Facebook page and Facebook group .

On Oct 3rd, we returned to Little Dawley for a different route taking in the edge of Coalbrookdale and Lightmoor.

Our walk on August 15th was planned to fit in with a fund raising quiz at the Halfway House on The Wrekin. Our team was very successful coming 2nd out of 14 teams.

On August 1st we visited Little Dawley and Horsehay .

On July 18th we had a very hot local walk, photos of both events are on the Facebook page and Facebook group .

We went further afield on July 4th to join in the celebrations of Offa's Dyke's 50th. Photos of the Offa's Dyke and Horsehay walks are here too.

Other Spring/Summer walks have admired bluebells in Short Woods and the Ercall and we ran our first 'hop' in a long time to Lawley,

We have also used the Wrekin Link then toured Dothill and used the Perry Way earlier in the year.

Thank you to those who walked or supported our group fundraising page. for Hope House Hike on March 28th, we reached our fundraising target, and, with the entry fees, exceeded it.
We have now started path clearing again on a regular basis please see our paths page for contact details.
Contact us for bespoke advice on getting to work on foot or by cycle. We know Telford quite well as walkers and cyclists, and, if we don't know your part of Telford, we have friends that do. You could use Facebook, email or our contact form. We can produce a map as a line on an image, a gpx file or with audible instructions for a smart phone app.
We are encouraging people to keep walking using our walk leaflets see here. The leaflets are usually also available in Wellington Morrison's. This page also has links to other people's pages or leaflets.
